The Forsyth County Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition is a group of concerned citizens, organizations, and institutions working together to prevent infant deaths. We recognize that promoting women’s health before women become pregnant is the best long-term way to work for healthy mothers and babies in our community.

The infant death rate in Forsyth County is 11.4 deaths for every 1,000 babies born alive. Pregnant women of color have much higher rates of infant deaths than whites.
